broken concrete is
devoured by green
steel, marble, glass,
man-made things
all will decay
life overcoming
I never grow weary
of nature’s beautiful
cycles…her quiet dusking
and sweet song at dawn…it is
why I can rest my soul in
deep peace through the
darkest of nights

remembering things
that never were
gentle falling is
soon to come
with the darkening
of days and
frost murmuring
softly on the breeze
