but for a few
faded old pictures,
I would never have
remembered those times
we were brilliant, dazzling souls
devouring life with feverish joy…
who are these smiling ghosts
staring at me, who wasted
their youth chasing after time…

a mother’s heart
remembers every sweet
moment; the sound of
her child’s laughter,
tiny hands in hers
to keep her warm
when she is old and they
have grown away

then the flowers bloomed
it was as if they didn’t
care that baring their
souls would only lead to
withering from a too hot sun

the wind whispers to me
in cool blue tones and
hot rose petal reds…in
sea spray, crushed moon dust,
purple rain forest misting…a
honey-sweet symphony
playing in my head and
i wonder am i mad
or just listening

remember eternity
is not here…it’s not there
somewhere…it surrounds
you in its brilliant embrace
when time stands still

trees are made for the
wildest of winds
it is when they
forget, that they snap

i want to be
like a rose losing
my petals…a life
fully lived, tiny
deaths crushing me
in sweetness

i am charmed
by gentle moments…
little things

remembering when
lying was not a daily thing
i can’t…that’s no lie

rain on rose petals
magnifies their raw beauty
sweetness aching red
eternity’s embrace
surrounds us in this moment
it is not out there
innocently charmed
by love’s sweetness keeps our heart
open to life’s hope
breathe deeply the dawn
roses, daffodils, air thick
sweetness on the breeze

beautiful flowers cling
to sweetness even
after they have been
uprooted from the
garden, blooming as if
they will live forever
