grass long
and tall
dances in the
delicious breeze
breath of god
softly flowing

the red breast trudges
through the garden
beneath the blue, but
the worms are
hiding…it’s
too cool
in purple

always fight for what
is good and remember,
but for your light
some never come to
hope, only seeing the
dark night of the soul

beneath every garden
roots and seeds
winter in the
darkness…
a time to rest and
a time to blossom

to be forgotten
as if you never
lived is like death

eternity is not
some thing
it is now

hello has the
power to change
your life

there’s a battle
playing out
good and evil
at war
forcing us to
use our brain

there will always be
evil in this world
but there is more
to offset almost
every sinister force
and love…that too

to follow after or
wander alone…which
way is the path
to peace in a world
rooted in stone

time is eternity’s prisoner
we are born only
to grow old and die
remembered only
by lingering sadness

chocolate can be bitter
barely a day goes
by that I don’t
crave its sweetness
on my tongue

my garden heaves her
last bit of sweetness
as the cool beauty of
death whispers to her
urging her to sleep…
to dream of spring

I am not dazzled by
broken gods and
fool-hearty men who
must be surrounded by
all-embracing prisoners
of fear to feel whole

keep trusting in
the goodness of
others even if it is
hard to see….I
believe it’s always
there, waiting to care

every path is thick
with followers but
wanderers leave fresh
tracks through the wild

nature does not
murmur feeling
blue when night
falls, for she sees
the light in every
dark thing

remember to make
time to enjoy the
little things in life
all work and no play
is not living

mist rising after
the rain, warm
meeting cool in a
dreamlike symphony…
fading away
in the light of day

champagne blushed
my foolish heart
dances to a broken
rhythm…I almost remember
how it was to be wild,
myself, in color
