Spring Interrupted

Spring Interrupted

tender
tenacity
verdant shoots sprout in spring
perseverance in winter’s wake
frosted

Monday Magnets

Getting a wee bit more snow this morning. Enough to be pretty. ❤️

cool stillness
a symphony of
icy blue
whispers,
misty spray,
snowflakes
on my tongue

Monday Magnets

I am lonely for
spring; sweet flowery
breezes, warm rain,
roses, daffodils,
wild blankets of green…
how my soul longs
for beautiful eden’s seed

Saturday with the Muse

make no promises
if you love me
please don’t say
only the things
I want to hear
my heart knows
that is not love

no one sees her
brokenness, for she
is always smiling
but the blush on
her cheeks gives
her dark secret away

there’s a hint
of spring in the
cool mist after it
rains…a symphony
of sweetness on
the wind, greening

I fall out of
harmony with my
beautiful wild nature
when I stop
listening to the wind

Congress in Session ~A Cherita

congress in session

a trio of cowbirds perch aloft, screaming
on skeletal limbs of a wintering elm

surveying the work of more diligent
nesters while scheming a plan
to evict them come spring
