day 330 ~ first snow

morning hush
.
dawn
dressed in winter
white
morning sounds muted
crystalline ice shards tap my bare skin
my lungs
fill with crisp air
layers of snow crunch
underfoot
full cold moon…first snow

~kat | 4 December 2025

Well…as promised, my disappointment in missing the full cold super moon was assuaged by a beautiful sight this morning! First snowfall of the season. It is all I hoped for. Enjoy the photos. Today’s glimmers. I hope you are safe, well, and warm wherever you are.

Much love, peace, kindness, and glimmers to you.

day 327

a gray day
.
yet
another gray
day
the clouds fell to earth
a misty melding of sky and loam
blue glints
and golden streams of light
breaking through the veil
the storm ends
night slips into dawn

~kat

Things may seem impossibly dark right now, but remember my friends, all storms eventually pass. We may need to clean up debris and maybe even rebuild what we lost in the aftermath, but the sun and blue sky eventually break through. Just as night gives way to dawn, day moves into dusk; just as summer moves to autumn, to winter, to spring, please hold onto the glimmers that present themselves to you every day. Embrace every facet of this life. The light, the dark and everything in between.

Much love, peace, and glimmers to you!

day 324

the gray dawn
.
fog
far from opaque
seems
to illuminate
bones of late autumn trees, it feels like
heaven
as I imagine it
enveloped by clouds
such as these,
muted in cool gray

~kat

This morning the fog was so heavy that it lingered long after sunrise. I was able to take a few photos while on my morning walk. It was a beautiful way to start my day.

I typically think of fog as a driving hazard. But on mornings like this, when I don’t need to travel in it, I was able to pause and take in its beauty. I was particularly keen on how lovely the bare autumn trees look enveloped by the fog. What a beautiful glimmer to start my day. I hope wherever you are you have a moment to take in the beauty that surrounds you.

Much love, peace, and glimmers to you!

day 323

afternoon storm

dark storm clouds hover
but for a golden moment
trees kissed by the sun

I was busy working. When the light outside shifted. Of course I grabbed my phone, headed outside, and captured this golden moment. I am so grateful for this brilliant glimmer. This life is full of them.

much love, peace, and glimmers to you!

Oh…and before I post this…we have a new resident here in the foothills. Meet Einstein…of course we are sharing our kibble with this hungry soul. There is always room for one more at my little house on the hill.

Yes, that’s the crows’ peanut tray. Einstein has taken it over! The crows are still here. They have joined the deer, grazing on corn. I love my diverse little community. ✨💚✨

day 321 – a ReVerse Poem

A ReVerse Poem ~ 23 November 2025

a deep, slow breath in
when the end is clearly not clear
before fading into dust
it’s the dawn that rescues me
where the edge looms ever close
a glimpse of the heavens
morning walks through
the mist at dawn
just a glimmer
souls of trees laid bare and pure
the sweetest of blossoms
into a world turned gray

~kat

Things have been quite bizarre lately stateside.  Sometimes I envy my friends and neighbors across the border or across the pond. But it seems no matter where a body lives, there are leaders who don’t care about the people they serve but rather, care only about staying in power and reaping the benefits. It’s not like this generation of humans is experiencing an anomaly. Selfish, cruel leaders have been with us since time began.

I have found that the only way to survive the wrath of horrible leaders and the current disturbing state of the world is to focus on what is most important. Fortunately the season is right on time. There are opportunities to share time with family and friends this time of year more than any other. Perfect! Because that is what is most important. The relationships we cherish. The world will eventually right the downward spiral we are currently experiencing. For now and until the end of 2025, I choose to cherish those who mean the most to me…and that includes myself.

Take care my friends. Much love, peace and glimmers to you.
