C-D-O (Compulsive Disorder Obsessive)

there is a right way 
that is usually, generally best
aesthetically speaking…wish 
you agreed, I may even suggest

for instance, how the toilet 
paper on the spindle rolls
over the top, and down, of 
course, as everybody knows

I think you do it wrong, 
or not all, just being lazy,
or maybe it’s on purpose, ‘cause 
you know, it makes me crazy

I like my world orderly, no shame, 
in that you know, but I suspect 
you don’t agree, at least I know 
where everything is kept

next time you need the car 
keys or your favorite baseball hat
don’t come running to me because 
you know I know where everything is at

the pantry should be stocked, well 
organized by categories, please
in tidy rows…and never store ritz 
crackers near sweet peas

you act like it’s a bother saying,
“I give up, do it all yourself”
just an excuse, I’m very sure when 
you know I could use some help

but don’t bother, I’ll just do it, 
actually like it best that way
It saves me fixing all the stuff 
in the wrong place, you put away

I know I can be difficult to 
live with, I am sorry dear
tell me where’d you put that thing?
that’s right, you said YOU like it HERE!
