Joy – Magnetic Poetry Monday – 6 February 2017

sometimes joy comes when
we are not looking
it may be there, lingering
on a cool salty breeze
or in a steaming porcelain cup…
it could be
in a dog’s wet kisses,
baby’s breath or red velvet cake
or smiling eyes and belly laughs…

but here’s the thing
you have to notice it to
be blessed.

Where Love Dwells – Magnetic Poetry Saturday – 24 December 2016

we search this star-filled
sacred night listening for
angel song, hoping for
the god-child hero with
his promise of peace and
love, but remember, his love
is always in our hearts

Magnetic Poetry Mondays – Faith

Happy Monday! Hope your Monday is not being a…MONDAY. I decided to kick off the week, I would post a Magnetic Poem on Mondays. It’s a nice over my lunch hour activity and the best part is that I don’t need to come up with the words from scratch. I just need to arrange them into a poem. If you’d like to try one out for yourself here is the link for the online version: Magnetic Poetry Online. Now I don’t need to stand next to my refrigerator to have fun with magnetic wordplay.

Here’s what I came up with for this week using The Poet’s Kit…

MagnetPoetryFaith

little faith

they have wished on
a thousand stars
for love, peace, joy,
promising god their hearts
if only they believed
someone was truly listening
