Storm Signs – A Palindrome for Palindrome Week

Palindrome-Week.png

In honor of Palindrome week…here is a Palindrome Poem.

Storms coming…
furious blustering wind
midst clouds looming dark
while thunderous
voices strobing
terror
warning ever warning
raindrops falling
like tears
frightened fragile
souls crying
are there
places safe
enough
~Signs~
enough
safe places
there are
crying souls
fragile frightened
tears like
falling raindrops
warning ever warning
terror
strobing voices
thunderous while
dark looming clouds midst
wind blustering furious
coming storms.

Sweat Bee Smitten – A Haiku

A bit of fun with TJ’s new prompt format. This week for his Household Haiku challenge… a word and a photo with the suggestion to choose one or both. The Word Prompt: Dew and the photo pictured here…and here is my little Haiku tale…

“Welcome to my pad,”
said Sweat Bee to Miss Dew Drop,
“Dawn looks swell on you!”

Never to return.

Tragedy’s Lament

Once again the
mothers weep and
hide their children
safe to keep, as
talking heads, their
blood lust slaking,
vomit spin to
boost their ratings.
Lines are drawn and
trenches dredged as
pols fight for the
winning edge, and
fear and loathing set
the stage for
wayward zealots
venting rage.

We pride
ourselves as
civilized and
judge the
stranger with
our eyes, but
souls reside where
we can’t see, the
other’s not our
enemy. Remember
when you seek to
blame, under the
skin we are
the same.
