lifts us gently
our dreams to
keep, night’s
tiny gift
to the day
though we are born
wet and naked
only to be broken
by concrete, remember
you are from eden
here to dazzle
and be brilliant
we live in a digital
world of crashing
networks, streaming
content and viral
memes….
and dragons…
they rule
from beneath
in the shadow
of death
we are crushed
like diamonds
by the light
would that I could
remember the good
old days that
fools celebrate
and long for…
all I see is how
broken we were
