breezes never blow
they whisper in soft kisses
like feathers on skin
Breeze by, nose upturned,
you haughty, self-righteous snobs!
Your attitude blows!

For Haiku Horizon’s Challenge based on the word, “Search”.
robins search for grub
first to root in frosted earth
sucks to be a worm
wise seekers all know
sometimes what you search most for
is not what you need
~kat – 22 March 2017
warm spring air,
bird song, daffodils,
rain clouds, wet earth,
blues and greens,
squirrels rooting,
bees on blossoms,
thick, shady trees,
rocks and roses…
it is the sweet things
in life that make me happy
kat – 20 March 2017 / First Day of Spring
vining up from
seed to root along
an ancient path
through rocks and
frosted earth, tendrils
of eden softly dawning
