when leaders act like 5-year-olds demanding what they want and when there is no reasoning with them they’ll huff and puff until you fold demanding what they want and when when leaders act like 5-year-olds

I hear there is going to be a national address this evening by our toddler in chief. He plans to lay out a string of gross exaggerations and lies to try to convince the majority of Americans to embrace his pet project, The Great Trump Southern Border Wall that Mexico will definitely pay for, but just in case they don’t, we’ll need tax payers hard earned cash to float it so trump can make his dwindling throng of supporters (most would assume who live life a few eggs short a dozen) happy and make good on his campaign mantra. Facts are not important of course. Only that trump gets what he wants. In the meantime, he is holding hundreds of thousands of government workers hostage. There are families…children in cages along our southern border living in horrible, sometimes deadly conditions. I’ll not be watching his speech tonight. It’s a total waste of my time. But I will be thinking about all the people who are suffering because of this horrible man’s actions. I’m sorry for them all. We need to do better.
About the challenge: Each Tuesday I will provide a photo prompt. Your mission, if you choose to accept the challenge, is to tell a story in 280 characters or less. When you write your tale, be sure to let me know in the comments with a link to your tale.
A final note: if you need help tracking the number of characters in your story, there is a nifty online tool that will count for you at charactercountonline.com.
I will do a roundup each Tuesday, along with providing a new prompt. And if for some reason I missed your entry in the Roundup, as I have occasionally done, please let me know. I want to be sure to include your tale.
Finally, have fun!
And REMEMBER…you have 280 characters (spaces and punctuation included), to tell your tale…and a week to do it. I can’t wait to see what you create this week.
Starting us off… My humans love to repeat some silly words. ‘Hello, bye bye, nite-nite.’ Lame! Sometimes I give ‘em a ‘good boy’ or ‘hello’. The old guy is my favorite. He taught me a few new words. Whenever I get tired of the one they call mom I give her a loud SHIT. I like to hear her scream! ~kat (278 Characters)

By The Dark Netizen: Parrot Parrots can be trained well, this I knew. My parrot though, was a genius. It learned to mimic the human voice in no time at all. Soon, it had learned to ask for crackers. You all cracked me up with your twittering tales last week. Brilliant! What a great start to the new year! Thank you to everyone who participated! This week…yes it’s been a week…how is everyone doing with your new year’s resolution. Or maybe you don’t do resolutions. Too much pressure. It ain’t easy bein’ green, or for that matter downing that healthy Jamba Juice you promised yourself you would drink every day for a month because it takes a month for anything to become a habit. Read my green rimmed lips. Drinking kale juice will never become a habit for me. But enough about my failed attempts at being healthy! For your challenge this week a photo of a nice tall glass of healthy brew by Anasegota at Pixabay.com. Maybe you’re a fan of the stuff. If so, my apologies if I have offended you. To each their own! Remember, you have one week and 280 characters or less to tell your tale. See you at next week’s roundup!

Anything…But
Norm loved his wife. He would do anything for his beloved Sadie.
When she asked for a VitaVeggieMatic, he thought, “Sure. Why not?”
Next day, he stared at the glass she served him. “It’s bubbling.”

A Black Out Poem for Manic Monday’s Three-Way Prompt: Word: Shattered, Photo: See Above, Song: “Come Undone” by Duran Duran (see below with bolded found text).
“Come Undone” Performed by Duran Duran
Mine, immaculate dream made breath and skin
I’ve been waitingfor you.
Signed with a home tattoo,
Happy Birthday to You was created
for you
Can’t ever keep from falling apart at the seams
Can’t I believe you’re taking my heart to pieces
Oh, it’ll take a little time,
Might take a little crime
To come undone now
We’ll try to stay blind
To the hope and fear outside
Hey, child, stay wilder than the wind
And blow me in to cry
Who do youneed, who do you love
When you come undone?
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
Words, playing me deja vu
Like a radio tune I swear I’ve heard
before
Chill, is it something real
Or the magic I’m feeding off your fingers?
Can’t ever keep from falling apart at the seams
Can I believe you’re taking my heart to
pieces?
Lost in a snow filled sky,
We’ll make it alright
To come undone now
We’ll try to stay blind
To the hope and fear outside.
Hey, child, stay wilder than the wind
And blow me in to cry…
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
(Can’t ever keepfromfalling apart)
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
(Can’t ever keep from falling apart)
Who do you need, who do you love?
(Can’t ever keepfrom falling apart)
Who do you love
When you come undone?
(Can’t ever keep from falling apart)

when seeking silence, space to think
I notice sounds that I’ve ignored
and background din becomes a roar
clocks ticking, dripping kitchen sink
I notice sounds that I’ve ignored
