Florescence #8

spring is in flux, bitter
frost nip, songbird chitter,
shadow perched, a-twitter, shivering

~kat

Florescence #8 for Jane Dougherty, who created this lovely new poetry form.

Florescence #7

seeping, spring-time showers
are good for the flowers,

Florescence #6

though flowers make me sneeze
dust, pollen, budding trees,
fuzz fluffs on dappled breeze…it’s not snow

Florescence #5

oh how graceful they fly
on wings through the sky
as I watch them, I sigh from below

Florescence #5 for Jane Dougherty’s Daily Florescence Poem Challenge.

Florescence #4

battered, billowing trees
bent from a blust’ry breeze
their dappled crowns like seas, leaf scattered

Playing along with Jane Dougherty’s Daily Florescence Poem Challenge. Today Jane combined her florescense with a 5-word prompt from Secret Keeper. After laboring on and off for hours over the 5 words and their synonyms, my head started to hurt. So I glanced out the window and watched the wind-tossed trees. Mercifully the universe gave me a substitute topic for today’s daily poem. Coffee break over…back to spreadsheets and memos. 🙂
