I sometimes wonder how I did it. And my now ex was in the navy at the time. So he was out to sea for 6-9 months at a time

Holy moley. My son’s father ( now ex) was navy and on sea duty until right before our son was born. Most of my pregnancy was solo, which was something back in the 70’s. 😉
