Saturday with the Muse

healing is a long time
coming for those poisoned
by the lies of fools
remembering things
that never were

gentle falling is
soon to come
with the darkening
of days and
frost murmuring
softly on the breeze

keeping an open heart
takes a good bit of
hope and faith when
one’s innocence has
been regarded as
nothing by powerful
users promising the moon
