muted dawn and this
heaving, heavy,
wet-grey stillness
would that the rain would
come, blackening the sky
cooling us with its tears

Heading our way this afternoon and expected to linger on and off for the rest of the week. I’m hoping it cools things off a bit. It’s much too early for 90°F-100°F (32.22 °C – 37.78 °C) weather.

They’re certainly summer temperatures. We had a week of top 80s about a fortnight ago, and it was just nice and warm. That’s maybe because the sun isn’t too high yet.
