of morning light

a tawny hue through 
my window, full autumn’s spectacle
in view
orange, gold, burgundy 
too soon winds will come
winter trees
naked in the snow

  It’s so sad. The lovely colors do not stay around long enough. Blink and the next time you look they’re heaped in piles on the ground.
