The Tricube – Day 4 – Sebastian

my old cat
Sebastian 
matted fur

naps all day
in the sun
skin and bones 

twenty-two 
years, nine lives
unspent still

Tricubes

Here are the rules of tricubes:

• Each line contains three syllables.

• Each stanza contains three lines.

• Each poem contains three stanzas.

So we’re talking cubes in mathematical terms (to the third power). No rules for rhymes, meter, etc. Just three, three, and three.

    I do love him…he is a very old, but wise, gentle soul. We have lived a lot of life together. And he is still hanging on. 🐾❤️🐾
