another scorching day, hazy and bright
cold front a-brewing, thunder rumbling low
sun’s reign of rage, by rain will lose this fight
~kat
This is the sixth Terza Rima stanza in a series of daily entries for July’s micropoetry challenge prompted by Jane Dougherty. I’m thinking I’ll wrap this series on day 7 to give us all some much needed relief from this heat waverie (yes I just made up a word…I must be delirious!). Fortunately my inspiration, the weather, will be doing the same, with cooler temperatures promised this weekend. Then on to a new topic. 💚

We British are well known for talking about the weather, almost exclusively. I think you nearly qualify for citizenship!

We may have to separate you from your purse until we’ve thoroughly investigated you!

I love this Kat, you are really keeping up the heat.
My topic is Life, my life, I am going to try to keep my theme going and then release the whole 30 stanzas at the end of the month, hopefully it might make sense.
Will you publish your first seven as one poem on Sunday? 💜💜

Good for you on keeping it going! I’m thinking I will post it in full on day seven with the final couplet and then start a new one on Sunday. It worked out that the first was on a Sunday this month. 🙂

I like this stanza—it’s punchy 🙂 You could always lead into another theme. As Peter says, weather is universal. Whatever you talk about, the weather can creep in somewhere.

Oh I’m sure I may slip if the weather is notable. 😊
