robins search for grub
first to root in frosted earth
sucks to be a worm

wise seekers all know
sometimes what you search most for
is not what you need

I’m glad that I’m a robin
and not a wiggly worm.
They really are quite tasty
and scrumptious when they squirm.

We buy the best from Macey’s,
they sell them by the pound.
The best by far are found in France
they’re juicy, big, and round!
