1-
it’s early morning drenched in dew
the witching hour won’t let me sleep
i’m an insomniac, it’s true
it’s early morning drenched in dew,
roused by the whispers of my muse
who tells me, “no use counting sheep”
it’s early morning drenched in dew,
the witching hour won’t let me sleep
2-
I feel so foolish for crying
It’s not that I’m not strong, you know
Sometimes it’s wise to stop trying
I feel so foolish for crying
Nothing works when someone’s lying
Relationships need trust to grow
I feel so foolish for crying
It’s not that I’m not strong, you know

Well shoot, I hope you still aren’t being bugged by insomnia! Both are wonderful poems.

I never sleep through the night:( but I do find a lot of inspiration in the wee hours.

Well I do have to get up to go to the “powder room” at least once, but usually fall straight back asleep. I’ve seen many insomniac-inspired poems from you though!
