I particularly liked the first one. There’s something so melancholy about old photographs, even when the people are still alive.

I agree. I actually tossed around the word melancholic for the fourth line before settling on sentimental.

Both are very nice! I like that second one because some storms can be just like that. Boom! Then rainbows. 🙂
