it was a war that wasn’t a war, so we heard
defense long replaced by that offensive word
when asked, “what’s the plan?”
they all shrugged, “ask the man…”
“spill the files!” yelled the crowd, undeterred

No one knows why the Iran non-war war was started. Several spokespeople listed their personal guess…out loud, mind you! And worse yet, there is no plan or strategy going forward. Pick a reason. Any reason is as good as another.

Because of an unsubstantiated eminent threat

Regime change! Though the regime is still standing…less one bad guy and several of his friends…and innocent people…and troops…

We didn’t start it, but president DT is going to finish it…. Wait…what?

To settle a score….retribution…now that is as believable as any other reason.

Because DT woke up one morning and decided he was done dealing.

Or oil…Venezuela was a roaring success…right?

To liberate the people from an evil leader,…so declared the kettle…if you know, you know

To divert our attention away from the chaos here at home, or the files, remember the files? Rest assured we will never forget. We will never not want the files…all.of.them, and justice served to the monsters who perpetrated the crimes described inside.

It’s a horrible mess no matter the reason headed by an alcoholic frat boy who brags about each strike like he’s playing a video game, completely ignoring the real people who find themselves in the crosshairs.

It’s exhausting, and I’m so sorry world that this is happening…to all of us.
