Hunter’s Moon ~ A Haiku

hind’s feet tread lightly
moon-blushed crimson, rooting deep,
hunters lie in wait

For Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge, prompt words, “Hunter” & “Moon”.

The digital image is a layered composition that combines my own iPhone 6s photograph of the full moon with the free image of a deer from pixabay member, Sunbar. I used the apps, Magic Eraser and PicsArt to enhance the photo.

A Red Sky Valentine’s Morning

Awash in brush strokes crimson red
Sleepy dreamers rouse at the dawn
Snuggled under layers of down
Awash in brush strokes crimson red
It is tempting to pause instead
Serenaded by sweet birdsong
Awash in brush strokes crimson red
Sleepy dreamers rouse at the dawn.
