Chill Goddess
From the moment
I came onto the scene
I became the center
of your frame.
I am your light,
full of nourishment

I’m what you wake up to
in the morning
and what you stumble to
in the middle of the night.
Don’t reach for that phone!
I’m all you will ever need.
I’m your chill goddess.

Midnight Snack
I hate this.
These midnight hunger pangs are the worst. I have to get out from my cozy bed and go all the way to the kitchen, in darkness, because I don’t want to disturb my sleepy eyes. It’s scary. What if there’s something in the shadows?
And even worse, what if it wants my food?

Sneaking downstairs she opened the fridge and gazed at the verdant, healthy food.
“Damn this diet” she whispered.

Every evening Julia would find the fridge open! It was so annoying such a waste of energy.
With a sharp intake of breath she slammed it shut, checked on the evening meal and left the kitchen.

Waking in the night, as hungry as a bear,
Opened the fridge, and found nothing there.

Well done everyone! It appears that your ping backs worked this week. Thank you for double checking and providing links in the comments as well. We only had one casualty for tt #135. Graham let me know, so of course as promised I have featured her entry at the top of this week’s roundup. Please let me know if I missed you in the round up. I want to be sure everyone sees your hard work!
For this week a mystery perhaps, inspired by broken glass in a door, photo by Paul S Barlow at Pixabay.com. Is it the result of an errant ball, or perhaps a rock? Maybe it’s the result of a criminal act. Or is it symbolic of brokenness. You tell me in 280 characters or less and I’ll see you at next week’s roundup! Have fun! 😊
