So, Sometime Stellar Storyteller’s challenge this week was to write a six word story based on the prompt word “Amusement”. I came up with a few. You can read the proper Six Word Stories HERE.
But there was one idea that I could just not hone down to six words. It features my dog and his dizzying happy practice of chasing his tail. He is so amused with himself and so proud when at long last he catches said tail.
I shake my head thinking, “It doesn’t take much to make a dog happy!”…and then I realize I’ve just sat their watching him spin over and over. Apparently, it doesn’t take much to make me happy either! 🙂

This is Maxwell’s happy face. You can stop laughing now…I’m not amused! 😉

Adorable, both the poem and the dog’s picture. I have a dog without race which I got from a place where they were to put her to sleep. She runs around her tail too in such a funny way it is hilarious to watch her and when we laugh she sometimes stops and looks at us with the sides of her mouth tilted upwards as if she is laughing too. She’s a desert dog, we were never able to train her and she loves being dirty so even if we’d wash her twice in a row she would rush into the garden and roll in the mud to get herself dirty again. She has a lovely heart though and loves caresses so we caress her and then go wash our hands because she will not leave us until we’ve stroked her through and through.

Rescue dogs are the best. We adopted a 16 year old deaf and blind tiny dog last year. She was destined to be euthanized as well. We don’t normally adopt tiny dogs but she has captured our hearts and inspires us every day with her joy for life despite her challenges. 😊

I used to be a cat person because my mother had so many cats she rescued from the streets and for a long time could only afford a cat but when I got this dog 8 years ago I realised it is a whole new thing in terms of unconditional love. Cats are independent and have their moods but dogs just love you and love you unfailingly 🙂
