We hide inside our homes to winter o’er these shorter days
And languish through the frigid cold ‘neath dreary skies of gray
If not for promises of spring
We might lose hope in everything
So wake me when the first bloom blooms…until then, go away!

It’s actually unseasonably warm here today, with sloppy cold rain…I’d rather have snow! 🙂

The weather here is very odd, unseasonably warm ( I use warm guardedly) but wet and windy , dull and damp! Mother Nature what are you up to!!

It has been sloppy wet and cool here too. Definitely not wintry. Gray and rainy is yucky! Calling for cooler weather though. I do like it when we have full seasonal weather. This is weird!

Yes it is and all the germs are breeding no cold snap to kill them off!

Thank PJ. It has been that damp rainy cold and gray…not the winter white I enjoy around the holidays! I hear they are calling for temps in the 60’s or 70’s F here for Christmas. It’s not right! 🙂

That’s crazy! Temps in the 60’s and 70’s during Christmas! I would just say enjoy it while you can!

Oh…we will. Though plans for the family to ice skate at the new outdoor rink in our city on day after Christmas might have to be changed! 🙂

Very true! 70 degree weather isn’t inclusive to ice skating! LOL!

Your Limerick is very apt for the winter and all that snow. Looks beautiful but must be hard to live in that condition. I can’t stand so much cold.

Where I live, unlike places further north, snow like this literally shuts things down for days. It’s pretty to look at but not drive in! 😊

Once, maybe twice a year we see this type of snowfall Indira. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains. 🙂

Thanks NJ. It’s starting to get cooler after an unseasonably warm few weeks. I do like to see a bit of snow this time of year. 😊
