My friend Rashmi at MindandLifeMatters gave us the prompt “Seasons” for this week’s Limerick Challenge. I have to say I spent alot of time chewing on this one. I have no trouble waxing poetic on the topic of Seasons in free verse…or even Haiku, but when it came to crafting a proper limerick…it had me stumped. Here’s my best attempt. Have a great week everyone! If you would like to have a go at this challenge, click HERE. π
A Limerick for the Seasons
Summertime sizzles and Autumn leaves fall,
Winter winds chill and Spring blooms enthrall,
Each season in order,
A year drawn in quarters,
Natureβs perfection inspires us all!kat ~ 7Β December 2015

Thanks Nicola. My day job is as an executive assistant, so I live my life in quarters … I’m glad the seasons do too! π

Love this Kat you have encapsulated the year perfectly.
Seasons come and seasons go
Summer sun and winter snow
Autum leaves and spring arrives
Whatever happens Nature survives! π

Thank you Janice. I was trying to keep the cadence and the syllables and lines true to form. π
