  Thank you Lynn. I was torn between the word “promise” and “dream” at the end…but the people in the photo are trying to enter the US and so I went with dream as in “the American Dream” elusive even to those of us who live here nowadays. 🙂

  Thank you. I always make it a point to create a complete sentence with these short stories, so that it doesn’t end up being just a caption. I think the verbs bring life and the depth you spoke of. 🙂
