A Poem for Hallowe’en

Light the hearth ye mortal men
as dark descends and summer ends!
The veil between the here and then
grows thin and bids us welcome in
our kin who’ve crossed the by-and-by.
Let’s dance and celebrate my dears
Full harvest blessings bounty here
Tis not a time of doom or fear
As ancient souls brush ever near
And flash the corners of our eyes.
May life and this day find you well
this happy Hallowe’en!
