defenseless children, orphaned
ransom for a wall

Well I can’t help but think the timely prompt words for Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Challenge were asking for this. How can I not write about the children. They are always on my mind, and will continue to be until they are reunited with their parents and we end this horrible nightmare.

What about all the American children stuck in foster care because their parents are jailed for misdemeanors?
Why does the far left only seem to care about non-American children?
Especially when the parents of those undocumented children put them in the situation they’re in.

You make a good point Amanda. This is a unique issue however. There are little to no records because several agencies are involved with no communication between them. A good many of these families were not breaking the law. They were seeking asylum, which is their right to do. Whatever you believe, whatever your politics, I think we can all agree…at least I hope we can, That this whole issue has been handled very badly.
