Actually…this scenario just happened at our house…but it was Maxwell the dog who was responsible for the demise of a grounded blue jay chick. 😳 it’s horrible when they bring you “presents” like that! 😟

Lol. Yes I suppose as they were baby words they would be cat nip to those cats whose yard they live in. Even dog nip. My dog went after one being kicked out if the bes to learn to fly. I caught her shaking this.ittle bird, playing with it. Yelled at her, but the bird up high a place where cats couldn’t get it and my old dog looked at it and still wanted it, and made her go inside, she knew she’d been bad as she sucked up big time!

Our big pup caught a fledgling and refused every command to release the poor thing. Sadly it did not survive our struggle to fetch from Maxwell’s trap. He pouted for hours after we took it away from him! Nature calls.
