  I think we keep them to hold onto a feeling or a person. And we stash them away so no harm comes to them…as if keeping them preserves the feeling or person. But if course nothing is as good as the real thing! 😊

A great photo! The effect is really intriguing. I agree with you about things not mattering (but I can’t help loving beautiful objects). My excuse is that beautiful things show us the best that man is capable of creating. 🙂
