How amusing to find that my friend Jacqueline of A Cooking Pot and Twisted Tales (and our Challenge Hostess) chose to feature art for her selections this week! I had been planning to share a peak into my art room for the past two weeks! My busy schedule did not allow me to share last week, but I finally found a quiet moment to pull out some of my paintings. The truth is I am itching to get my hands back at it. But I have so enjoyed writing. Trying to find the time to do both!!! At any rate, here’s a bit of me on canvas. Have a great week!!!! 😊

Wow Kat, these are very compelling pieces of art. First thoughts on some of them I really liked:
1. Winter Tree: I can just feel the roots reaching down to the warmth of the core of the earth ~ Nice!
2. Moonlight: Very reminiscent of Van Goh’s Starry Night painting, but with your own style (and less strange) and I LOVE it!
3.The Closet: Oh dear, it made me sad but makes you think of all those poor abused children locked into closets. Sniff.
4. Seeker: Just the perfect look of a seeker! What is she looking for?! Love the colors, the stance, everything!
5. Grace: My middle name is Grace, and this just personifies me growing up as a child! ❤
I hope you don't mind my comments. Very nice artwork Kat! xoxo

Wow, your artwork is so beautiful! They are named aptly, each piece makes you feel an emotion that is then characterized by the name.

Thank you Sonali. When I paint I let the canvas tell me what to paint, washing it first with a backdrop of color. It it always an emotional experience for me.

It is truly reflected on the paper. Each wave is as if time had frozen it there! The emotions forming the composition of the colours, subtly tinging the canvas!
