a trilogy of septs

A new challenge and poetry style called a “sept”. Seven lines long with the following syllable structure: 1-2-3-4-3-2-1. I decided to give it a go. Thanks to
Jane Dougherty Writes for this new challenge!

Today’s theme: Hands

a trilogy of septs

Hands
Extend
Hearts exposed
Displaying trust…
But betrayed
Become
Fists

Hands
Are quite
Versatile
Appendages
Fulfilling
Hopes and
Dreams

Hands
Caress
Skin to skin
Connecting us
Separate
Once, now
One.
