For today’s poetry form I am revisiting the Lanturne. As with other little poetry forms you can’t have just one. Several is always a good number. 😉

but cannot
survive the sun’s
burn

settles
on roses
nectar of the
gods

truth
doesn’t
matter if
lies are given
sway

eyes
cannot
be windows
if they are slammed
shut

that won’t
hear the truth
might as well be
deaf

joy
will be
elusive
to those who’ve lost
hope
