The challenge…write a Haiku (3 lines, 5 syllables line 1 & 3, 7 syllables line 2) using Dictionary.com‘s Word of the Day.
My take:

How would you use today’s word in a Haiku?

Hi Kat,
I met you on Ronovan’s site. You “liked” the article where he featured three of my posts, and I wanted to drop by to say “thank you.”
I teach haikus to my 7th grade history students since I teach Medieval Japan.
As far as your challenge for me, you are talented at haiku writing. I think I will leave haiku writing to you and Matsuo Basho.
Nice to meet you.

Hi Janice,
Thank you so much! I enjoy the challenges as a way to improve my writing. I am humbled by your assessment of my Haiku skills. As a life-long administrative assistant, who wishes she had taken a different career turn as a writer when she was younger, I am encouraged that it is never too late to pursue one’s passion! 😊

I agree. Hence, I am attempting to become a (published) writer.
