Sunflowers
come spring, we’ll toss
sunflower seeds over the
wild grassy edge of our
beautiful sanctuary, daffodils
and roses too, along
the forest path…for in
a world so troubled,
there must always be
blossoms, sweet, blooming to
soften the darkest of nights,
if only for a season

Working my way back into the groove. Monday’s are for Magnetic Poetry and dalliances with the Muse. True story…we did pick up several packages of flower seeds over the weekend, to be sowed in a few weeks, come spring.

This is beautiful, Kat! I need to get back into magnetic poetry on a regular basis. It’s fun, soothing and helps bring hope and beauty to our world.
Blessings to you!

Thanks Gayl. I have been on here sporadically. We bought a house last fall, downsized to fit into it, and then had the burden of unloading the old house. It’s been a bit stressful. I hope to be back up to speed as spring comes in…and extended daylight! Peace to you! ❤️

Wow, you have been busy! That’s a lot to take care of. I hope spring coming brings new life and joy into your life. I have not written as much on my blog but am hoping to get back into posting more regularly. We lost our 29 yr old son back at the end of Nov. He had a very weak heart, congestive heart failure and muscular dystrophy. He finally lost his battle, but I trust that he is not suffering now but in heaven with God and other loved ones. Your poem today is so inspiring and uplifting.
