It does, and you may. We deny history at our own peril. Sadly neo-nazi’s are alive and thriving in this country…and they are mean and loud as evidenced by recent POTUS rallies. 😳😟

I remember when the media was hesitant to use the “L” words….lie, lies, liar. Tens of thousands of lies later, I am relieved that they can now bring themselves to utter it.

This post led me to explore your blog again. I thought you were on an extended vacation and that was the reason I was not getting the usual thoughtful observations and poetry (usual because sometimes you just gotta rant as we all do). I have been avoiding Twitter because this other guy owns it. I could block him but a multitude of others use Twitter to discuss him so it is the same thing. His latest rant implying that I (a German, like “his father”) should go back to my country led me back to Twitter where I discovered you are probably not on vacation. I miss the Twittering Tales as well as your poetry.

Hi Ron. I’m still here. I’ve missed your twittering tales, most of all your thoughtful and thought-provoking essays. I am actually on another short holiday as I write this. I take my vacations in long weekends mostly. So I still try to write a small bit every day. I’m afraid the lunacy here in the US is only going to get worse as the elections loom closer. Even if we do manage to pull off a victory against djt (what with entrenched gerrymandering, election manipulation and foreign interference) I am not entirely certain that the current president will vacate the office easily. It should be interesting.
