A blustery nor’easter raged into town last night under the light of March’s first Full Worm Moon. The howling noise kept my dogs alert and close by on this sleepless night. This is Day 2 of this challenging poetry form inspired by Jane Dougherty, who I am convinced is a sadist or masochist, or both, for having suggested this two-lined beast. 🙂 Just kidding…all in fun Jane…you know I am always up for a challenge. 🙂
like mercury colliding...

We had snow just after sunset last night then the skies cleared. It was bright as daylight with the moon reflecting off the snow and could not sleep a wink last night!

The wind really pushed the grey cloud cover out, but it was scary to listen to.

How strange you should have had the same scary wind last night. I didn’t know it was a worm moon. In fact, I’d never heard of a worm moon. I’m going to write a story about it now 🙂 I love your florette, Kat! It’s such a wild painting! And I admire your rhymes that don’t draw attention to themselves.

I would add that this is also called a Sap Moon. And this month we will have a Full Blue Sap Moon on the 31st.

A sap moon sounds vaguely disparaging to me. I like worm moon though.
