a rascally rodent is he…
hailing from Punxsutawney
this marmot known as Phil,
he bends light and shadows

Charming – love the photo. I’ve heard of Groundhog Day, of course, though never knew what the critturs looked like !

No, I am serious though! Our mountains really need the snowpack, as that is our water source. Melt-off from the snow into the river. If we don’t get enough snow, then all kinds of bad ju-ju happens. We certainly don’t get enough rain in the high desert to make up for it. 🙂

The weather has certainly gotten curiouser and curiouser. We suffered the worst Flea season ever last year. You can imagine how that impacted me! As well as other assorted bugs that never got eliminated by a good freeze. But miracle of miracles…it’s snowing here this morning. Hope some of the white stuff heads your way.

Oh no, how awful! I remember fleas in Florida. Luckily fleas are not much of a problem in Central Oregon. Never seen one here at all, in fact! But who knows, maybe with this weather…?
