sometimes joy comes when
we are not looking
it may be there, lingering
on a cool salty breeze
or in a steaming porcelain cup…
it could be
in a dog’s wet kisses,
baby’s breath or red velvet cake
or smiling eyes and belly laughs…
but here’s the thing
you have to notice it to
be blessed.

Yes it is true. There are times when I am so busy I don’t stop to notice! I need to work on that. 🙂

Having a sneeze come out of the blue is a joy for me (whew that felt good!) but I certainly notice it. The other things in life I have to focus to realize I’m being blessed. Great poem.

Good one. The ransom note up top is quite fetching, too!

Ha ha, thank you Finnegan. It does look like a ransom note now that you mention it!
