About the challenge: Each Tuesday I will provide a prompt, and your mission, if you choose to play along, is to tell a story based on that prompt in 140 characters or less.
If you accept the challenge, be sure to let me know in the comments with a link to your tale. A final note: if you need help tracking the number of characters in your story, there is a nifty online tool that will count for you at charactercountonline.com.
I will do a roundup each Tuesday, along with providing us a new prompt.
Have Fun! 🙂

Nothing warmed her heart more than a crackling fire, hot cocoa and a few banned books to burn; freedom of speech and expression be damned.

Great responses from last week – to one and all!
These are just too much fun Kat! And honestly, I swear, it’s not my fault ….. you and Lorraine inspired me and led me astray …. that’s my story and I’m sticking to it ….. although my fall back is: in my defense, I was left unsupervised and the full moon made me do it! 😉
Here’s my tale for this week:

Ah well, it is certainly understandable, full moon and all! 😉 These are fun. Not as hard as six word stories, with just enough room to tell a complete tale. I know I’m hooked! 😊

The full moon – now therein resides many a tale 😉
Six word stories are tough! But I have to admit, 140 characters is about 25 -26 words – and for the April A-Z last year, I wrote 26 26-word stories – gave me a massive headache! But great exercise for stretching the imagination and really considering one’s editing skills!
Happy to play along 🙂

What a wonderful group of responses! I’m sorry to be a rule-breaker but I have a food blog, lol! Here’s mine for this one:
The large beam that held up the farm house fell crashing to the ground into the engulfing fire. At that point Jenny knew it was a total loss.
